AMI: Food prices on the retreat
Food prices continued to rise at an above-average rate in May 2023, according to the Federal Statistical Office. While the inflation rate is expected to have been 6.1 %, the increase in food prices compared to the same month last year was 14.9 %. However, this marked a downward trend after 22.3% in March this year and 17.2% in April.
