Austria: Food trade rejects accusation of price gouging
The Austrian food trade is defending itself against accusations of price gouging and possible price fixing among discounters. This was prompted by statements by SPÖ economic spokesman Dr Christoph Matznetter, who had accused retailers of using price promotions to raise prices afterwards.
