Greenyard: Bakker Belgium introduces first e-truck
On 26 January, an e-truck transported fresh fruit and vegetables from Bakker Belgium, a Greenyard company, to Delhaize for the first time. The new Volvo truck will deliver around 18,000,000 kg of fruit and vegetables to the retailer's distribution centre in Zellik every year, Greenyard says. With this important step towards a sustainable fleet, Bakker Belgium will save 58 t of CO2 emissions annually.
