Italy: Senate gives green light for NGT plants in field trial
Earlier this week, the Italian Senate's Agriculture Committee voted unanimously in favour of the amendment to the Drought Emergency Ordinance to allow field trials of NGT crops - those modified using New Genomic Techniques (NGT). Mind you, we are talking about trials.
"Without a European framework, however, NGT will
be a major problem for the EU.
