Out of the 25,300 tonnes, approximately 21,500 tonnes are chemical-synthetic plant protection products and 3,800 tonnes are plant protection products approved for use in organic farming. "The use of plant protection products in agriculture has decreased significantly in Germany over the past 15 years on average."
