Netherlands: Dairy cattle and greenhouse farming main sources of CO2 emissions
In addition to dairy farming, greenhouse gas emissions in Dutch agriculture are mainly caused by greenhouse farming. This has now been pointed out by the CBS (National Statistics Institute). It praised the fact that domestic agriculture had reduced its total emissions between 1995 and 2021, even though production had fallen by one third.
