First use of human urine as fertiliser
For the first time, human urine is being used in France to make a crop fertiliser. The French National Agency for Food Safety, Environment and Occupational Health has just authorised Toopi Organics to market this organic fertiliser in France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Belgium. The fertiliser is made from human urine collected and then processed in a recycling plant.
