Australian budget bolsters biosecurity

Industry body the Australian Fresh Produce Alliance (AFPA) has welcomed the federal government’s additional investment in biosecurity of over A$1bn billion for the next four years.

The AFPA has consistently advocated for increased funding for biosecurity from general revenue to reflect the shared benefits of a strong biosecurity system given potential incursions of foreign pests
