BMEL: Every seventh farm in Germany practices organic farming.

This corresponds to an area the size of Malta. Since 2019, the ecological area of the Federal Republic has thus grown by 17.1%. In the past five years, the number of organic farms has increased by 2,570, according to the ministry, so that currently 36,680 farms in Germany are practicing organic farming.
