Defra ‘needs £4bn budget’, claims CLA

The government must back farmers with a £4 billion a year budget to win the confidence of farmers and the next generation.

That’s according to Country Land & Business Association president Victoria Vyvyan, who said in a speech at the organisation’s annual conference that the cash injection was the only way that farmers in England could deliver meaningful improvements
