The approximately 3,200 independent Edeka retailers once again confirmed their leading position in the German food retail sector with a turnover of 40.8 billion euros - an increase of 3.9% compared to the previous year. Netto Marken-Discount increased its turnover by 2.7% to now 17.6 billion euros.
