Latest version of HarvestEye ‘faster and more accurate’

2023-01-25 16:00

HarvestEye is gearing up to launch a new version of its machine-learning root crops insights tool at Fruit Logistica in Berlin.

Fitting to harvesting and grading equipment, HarvestEye gathers performance data on size and count, and maps variability of root crops. It is currently compatible with potatoes and onions.

According to agri-tech firm B-hive, which developed the tool, refreshed software and more powerful hardware in the 2.0 HarvestEye system will deliver faster crop measurement and processing.

Improved detections lead to better accuracy of data reported to its online portal, the company said, adding that the refreshed software will also enhance HarvestEye’s capabilities to operate more effectively in challenging environments, such as low evening sun.
