ALDI prevents more than 6,400 tonnes of food from being wasted
ALDI has avoided wasting a further 6,400 tonnes of perishable goods over the past year by applying a 30% discount on selected best-before or best-before date items.
Through this action, from April 2022 to March 2023, more than 3,620 tonnes of fresh meat and fish, around 1,130
of fresh meat and fish have been put to good use.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
