Clara Aguilera: "Food waste has economic, social and environmental consequences".
The Agriculture Committee in the European Parliament has unanimously adopted Socialist MEP Clara Aguilera's report on the review of the waste directive proposed by the European Commission to reduce the environmental and climate impact of food systems associated with the generation of food waste. The report also states that
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
