Current farming systems are increasingly characterised by the use of a limited number of plant varieties which, in many cases, have focused on boosting their productivity in a system of intensive agriculture, with a strong environmental and unsustainable impact, and conditioned by the majority producers' demand for uniformity.

"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
