Jordi Valls leaves as General Manager of Mercabarna
Since 17 June, Jordi Valls has left the general management of Mercabarna to become a councillor on Barcelona City Council. During his two years and nine months at the head of the food industrial estate, he has stood out for promoting collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Valls took over the management of the large market on 29 September 2020, during the
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
