Jordi Valls, new President of Mercabarna
The Mercabarna board of directors has appointed Jordi Valls, deputy mayor for Economy, Finance, Economic Promotion and Tourism of Barcelona City Council, as the new president of the public company, replacing Montserrat Ballarín, who has presided over the entity for almost six years, in two stages, from 2016 to 2017 and from 2019 to 2023.
