One of the objectives of the Spanish presidency of the Council of the EU, which begins on 1 July, will be to speed up trade agreements with Mercosur, Chile and Mexico, as stated at the last Foreign Affairs and Trade Council. Work will also be done to make progress in the negotiations with Australia, as well as in the recently resumed negotiations of the Agreement
