Plátano de Canarias beats its historic production and marketing volume
Plátano de Canarias reached the highest sales volume in its history in Spain in 2023, with a total of 440 million kilograms sold. However, this milestone is overshadowed by the challenges facing the production sector. The low prices obtained at source, equal to those achieved in 2016 and 2017 with less marketed production, have

some of the challenges faced by the sector.
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
