Rising food prices trigger food recycling
Forty-two percent of discarded food in Spain comes from households, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, which means that each Spaniard throws away an average of 31 kilograms of food. In this sense, the Director General of the Food Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Spain, José Miguel Herrero, has assured, today, that
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
