Sakata's commitment to gender equality
During the first year of this Equality Plan, Sakata has promoted actions aimed at equal opportunities in the workplace. The first step, a training plan on equality awareness, which all the company's employees are receiving.
At the same time, and to celebrate Women's Day, Sakata has launched the initiative
"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
