Tagus-Segura water transfer: no criteria for its reduction
The water cut in the Tajo-Segura aqueduct is not based on technical or legal criteria, but solely and exclusively on political and territorial criteria, without being backed up by scientific or legal criteria.
At the time of writing, the Council of Ministers had already given the go-ahead to the Hydrological Plan, but its final approval was still pending. The flow of water from the Tajo-Segura aqueduct to the provinces of Murcia, Alicante and Almeria will be significantly reduced, endangering one of the most productive agricultural regions of the continent.
