The impact of the increase in the minimum wage on the agricultural sector
The increase in the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) announced yesterday by the President of the Government has not taken into account the reality of the most affected sectors, such as the fruit and vegetable sector, in which labour accounts for up to 45% of production costs and will damage the social and economic sustainability of farms in this sector, given the impossibility of transferring
to other sectors.

"Fruit Today" magazine is a valuable source of information for the fresh produce industry. Its aim is to connect fruit producers from Southern Europe with European import and distribution channels. The articles cover the entire value chain of the fruit and vegetable trade, as well as companies operating in the industry. The magazine has a yearly print run of 5,000 copies, distributed in countries such as Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Eastern Europe, Chile, and Peru. It is distributed through both direct subscriptions and free distribution at major European trade fairs.
