Hundreds of people from the regions of Alicante, Murcia and Almeria, gathered last Tuesday in front of the gates of the Moncloa to protest against the planned cuts to the Tajo-Segura water transfer. This protest took place during the Council of Ministers meeting in which the ratification of the River Basin Plans took place. A ratification that represents the perpetration of an unprecedented attack on the Spanish Levante, whose economic and social growth depends to a large extent on the work of the agri-food sector.
