Kenyan flower exporters have issued a warning that the rate and capacity levels in air cargo are currently at "critical" levels for farmers. In the first week of October, data from Rotate's capacity database showed that airfreight capacity from Africa to Europe had dropped by 8% compared to the previous year, with capacity out of Nairobi also being affected.
