Nepal: 'Municipalities banning plastic flowers in the lead-up to festivals'

Man Bahadur Giri, the mayor of Kohalpur Municipality in Banke district, has announced a ban on the use of plastic flowers and garlands during the upcoming Tihar and Chhath festivals. Similarly, in Kailali district, another local level has also imposed a ban on plastic decorations for the festivals.
