The Svalbard Global Seed Vault has received shipments from five new depositors, increasing the number of samples in its care to 1.29 million during its second opening this year. A total of 20,720 seed samples from 15 genebanks have been added to the world's largest repository of crop diversity, joining hundreds of thousands of existing samples.
