Tokat has become the leading city in cut flower production in the Black Sea Region in Turkey.

In the Erbaa area of Tokat, 85 farmers are currently cultivating 20 different types of cut flowers in approximately 60 hectares of greenhouses on public lands that were previously used for cattle farming. The harvested flowers are shipped to 18 provinces three days a week. Cut flower production has created 2,500 jobs in the area.
