Tokat has emerged as the primary city for cut flower production in the Black Sea Region of Turkey.

In the Erbaa area of Tokat, 85 farmers are currently cultivating 20 different types of cut flowers in around 60 hectares of greenhouses located on public lands that were previously used for cattle farming. The harvested flowers are sent to 18 provinces three days a week. The production of cut flowers has created 2,500 jobs for the local community.
