Malaysia clears illegal durian farms in Pahang

Authorities in the state of Pahang in Malaysia have recently taken action to seal off over 10,000 hectares of illegal durian farms located within a forest reserve. This crackdown is part of an ongoing campaign to address land encroachment, known as Ops Sekat. A total of 129 individuals have been detained in connection with this operation. Since the launch of Ops Sekat in April 2025, 12 cases related to this issue have been brought before the court.
