Malaysia has successfully renewed the local intellectual property (IP) protection for the Musang King durian, also known in Singapore as Mao Shan Wang, extending its certification until March 12, 2034. The renewal, confirmed by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO), ensures that the IP rights for this variety of durian are protected for the specified period.
