The Denmark-based shipping group Maersk will temporarily take over operations at two ports located at opposite entrances of the Panama Canal. This decision comes after Panama's Supreme Court deemed the existing port concessions unconstitutional. The ports impacted by this ruling are Balboa and Cristobal, and Maersk's assumption of operations is effective immediately.
