Rains prevent the Urgell canal irrigation campaign from having to be brought forward

The winter rains have delayed the start of the irrigation season in the Urgell canals. The president of the Comunidad de Regantes de los Canales d'Urgell (CGRCU), Amadeu Ros, has indicated that there is currently no rush to start irrigation. This year's campaign is expected to begin around Sant Josep, although the board of the Canal d'Urgell has yet to make a decision on the date.
