The container freight storm subsides

The container shipping market is metabolising the Red Sea crisis and also 22 February 2024 shows a drop in spot freight rates on almost all routes, with the exception of the route between Rotterdam and New York. This is shown by the Drewry Container Index, which overall shows a 2% drop in the composite index to $3,659 per container
