The okra sector in Senegal has experienced a decrease in the amount of land dedicated to its cultivation in recent years, a situation attributed by Bineta Hanne, manager of Sipa de Thiambe, to a decline in exports. According to the grower, "We have reduced our okra cultivation area by nearly half as a result of the decrease in exports. Currently, we primarily supply the Senegalese market."
