The potato yield in Ukraine is decreasing while imports are on the rise.

Olha Samoilichenko, the executive director of the Ukrainian Potato Growers Association, stated that the 2024 potato season in Ukraine faced numerous challenges which impacted the harvest yields. She mentioned that the biggest challenge was and continues to be the war, as some potato producers have the front line in close proximity.
