EU turns the other cheek, simplifications in the new CAP
On Friday, the European Commission announced that it is reflecting on two important chapters because of the impact they could have on agribusiness. On the one hand, it is proposing a crackdown on imports from Russia, and on the other hand it is proposing to remove the requirement to keep 4% of land uncultivated and to allow diversification rather than rotation.
