On Wednesday, June 18, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands officially inaugurated the Twence CO₂ capture plant. This plant extracts 100,000 tons of CO₂ from flue gases each year and transforms it into reusable raw materials. With the press of a button, CO₂ was symbolically captured from the chimney.
