Broccoli Supply Remains Tight, Wholesale Prices Stable in Central Poland

Broccoli availability in Poland remains limited in mid-June, with wholesale prices holding at elevated levels due to restrained supply from domestic producers.

On the main wholesale market near Warsaw (Bronisze), broccoli prices in mid-June 2026 are stable at high levels due to a continued limited supply from Polish growers. Despite the seasonal increase in domestic vegetable availability, broccoli remains less abundant compared to other produce, supporting firm prices on the wholesale market.

The restricted supply is a result of earlier production decisions, with some producers having reduced or ended broccoli harvests in the spring. This reduction in harvest area followed a period of low profitability in previous months, leading to decreased volumes reaching wholesale markets in June.

Demand for broccoli is steady, with buyers and retailers seeking quality product for fresh consumption. However, the limited supply means that not all demand can be satisfied with domestic product, and availability of high-grade broccoli is especially constrained.

Weather conditions in Poland in early June have been variable, with some regions experiencing cooler periods that may have slowed the maturation of broccoli crops, further impacting harvest volumes. As of mid-June, there are no significant reports of large-scale new domestic harvests increasing supply on the wholesale market.

Import volumes of broccoli into Poland remain stable, supplementing domestic shortages. No major price changes for imported broccoli have been reported at Bronisze in the current period.
