- In our latest market analysis, we examine the prices of fresh fruits and vegetables at various wholesale markets across Poland, as of October 2023. The focus is on key products such as apples, tomatoes, and cucumbers, comparing their prices and observing any notable trends or changes.
- Starting with apples, the prices at the Bronisze Wholesale Market are approximately 0.80 EUR per kilogram. In contrast, at the Poznań Wholesale Market, apples are slightly cheaper at 0.75 EUR per kilogram. Both markets have seen a decrease in apple prices by about 0.05 EUR per kilogram compared to the previous month, reflecting a seasonal abundance.
- Tomatoes show a different trend. At the Wrocław Wholesale Market, the price is 1.50 EUR per kilogram, while in Gdańsk, it is slightly higher at 1.60 EUR per kilogram. The price increase of about 0.10 EUR per kilogram in Gdańsk is attributed to increased demand and reduced supply due to weather conditions impacting harvests.
- Cucumbers are priced at 1.20 EUR per kilogram at the Łódź Wholesale Market. In comparison, the Kraków Wholesale Market offers them at 1.25 EUR per kilogram. Both markets have maintained stable prices over the past month, indicating a balance between supply and demand.
