- In the latest analysis of wholesale market prices for fresh fruits and vegetables in Poland, notable variations have been observed across different marketplaces. As of October 2023, the price disparities are evident, reflecting both regional supply conditions and consumer demand.
- Starting with apples, the Bronisze wholesale market reported prices at 0.60 EUR per kilogram, which marks a slight increase of 5% compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, in the Poznań market, apples are priced at 0.55 EUR per kilogram, showing a stable trend with no significant price change.
- On the other hand, potatoes saw a decrease in pricing at the Warsaw market, with prices dropping to 0.25 EUR per kilogram from the previous 0.30 EUR. This 17% decrease can be attributed to an abundant harvest season. In contrast, the Gdańsk market has maintained a stable price of 0.28 EUR per kilogram for potatoes.
- Tomatoes have shown a varied trend, with the Łódź market pricing them at 1.20 EUR per kilogram, reflecting a 10% increase due to higher demand. Conversely, the Kraków market offers tomatoes at 1.10 EUR per kilogram, indicating a slight decrease of 3% as supply levels have met local demand.
