- In this report, we analyze the prices of potatoes across various wholesale markets in Poland, highlighting the differences and trends observed as of January 24, 2025. The markets considered include Warsaw (Bronisze), Poznań (WGRO), and Wrocław (Targpiast).
- Starting with the Warsaw (Bronisze) market, we observe stable prices for domestic potatoes, with a range from €0.24 to €0.35 per kilogram. There is no change in the prices compared to previous data. Imported potatoes in Warsaw show a higher price range, from €0.37 to €0.84 per kilogram, also stable with no price change. The IRGA variety is priced between €0.31 and €0.42 per kilogram, while early import potatoes are significantly higher, ranging from €0.94 to €1.05 per kilogram. Lastly, the Iris variety is priced between €0.39 and €0.46 per kilogram, with no observed price changes.
- In Poznań (WGRO), the price for a 15 kg bag of potatoes ranges from €2.51 to €3.77. When converted, this equates to approximately €0.17 to €0.25 per kilogram. This indicates a more economical option for buyers compared to the Warsaw market.
- Turning to the Wrocław (Targpiast) market, the early import potatoes from Greece are priced between €0.63 and €0.98 per kilogram as of January 23, 2025, showing no change in the price. Domestic potatoes in Wrocław range from €0.21 to €0.38 per kilogram, presenting a competitive price point similar to the prices observed in Warsaw.
