The Panama Canal Authority (ACP) announced that there will be scheduled maintenance at the Gatun Locks from May 7 to May 15, which will decrease the daily transits through the Panamax locks from 20 to 17. After the maintenance is completed, measures have been outlined to increase the daily transits to 32 in response to the situation.
