Wholesale raspberry prices in Poland have dropped by about 10 PLN/kg in a week, with Bronisze market quoting around 40 PLN/kg as of mid-June 2026. The supply of Polish raspberries is growing, but volumes are still insufficient to fully meet market demand.

At the Bronisze wholesale market near Warsaw, raspberry prices have fallen to around 40 PLN/kg in mid-June 2026, down from approximately 50 PLN/kg a week earlier. This marks a significant decrease as more Polish tunnel-grown raspberries reach the market. In other regions, prices remain higher: Poznań wholesale market reports 64 PLN/kg, Wrocław 57 PLN/kg, Łódź 56 PLN/kg, and the Elizówka market near Lublin around 60 PLN/kg (calculated from 7.50 PLN per 125g punnet). The Kalisz wholesale market has seen a sharper drop, with average prices at 30 PLN/kg, down from 38 PLN/kg earlier in the week. Producer groups in the last week were offering farm-gate prices near 50 PLN/kg for raspberries intended for the fresh market.

Despite the price drop, overall raspberry supply remains below peak levels and does not yet fully satisfy buyer demand. Tunnel-grown summer raspberries are entering the main harvest phase, but open-field production is variable due to earlier weather events. In regions of Lubelszczyzna, severe frosts at the end of April caused significant damage to young flowering shoots, especially where temperatures dropped to –7°C or lower. This has led to delayed development and is expected to limit yields in affected plantations.

On tunnel plantations, the end of flowering and the start of intensive fruit development are currently observed. Harvest volumes are gradually increasing, but the market is still dominated by premium-quality fruit from protected cultivation. The weather has been unfavorable for field harvests, with wet conditions impacting the shelf life and quality of available raspberries. Growers in Lubelszczyzna report visible pest pressure, including raspberry blossom beetle and aphids, which require monitoring.

In recent years, the area under modern tunnel raspberry cultivation has expanded, with some farms (e.g., in the Białobrzegi region) managing several hectares under cover. These operations emphasize fruit quality and shelf life, especially as the market expects consistent supply and premium product.

The ongoing increase in supply is gradually reducing prices on most wholesale markets, with the highest prices still recorded in regions where local supply remains tight or where demand for premium raspberries is strongest.
