According to the latest Ministry of Agriculture report, black currant (czarna porzeczka) procurement at processing plants was already completed in the week of 3–9 August. No further farm-gate purchases of black currants for processing were recorded in this period, confirming the end of the main harvest and delivery window for industrial use.

The supply situation for all currants in Poland is now characterized by very limited availability. Earlier, high temperatures impacted berry plantations, including currants, with several episodes of extreme heat up to 38–40°C reported during the season. These weather conditions affected plant water management and may have influenced final yields and fruit quality, especially in tunnel production.

With the domestic harvest finished, there are no reports of significant imports supplementing the market at this stage. Buyer demand at wholesale markets remains focused on the last remaining lots, reflected in the elevated price range registered at Bronisze.

The end of currant deliveries coincides with the closure of sour cherry purchasing, as processors switch to other fruits such as aronia and plums for the remainder of the summer.
