Stable prices for cabbage at Bronisze despite cool nights
The Polish wholesale market for cabbage remains stable in late June, with no significant price changes reported at Bronisze and other major markets. Supply is consistent despite recent weather fluctuations.
At the Bronisze wholesale market, the segment for cabbage and related brassica vegetables has shown stability as of mid to late June 2026. No significant price increases or shortages have been reported for white cabbage or other brassicas. This stability contrasts with notable price volatility in other vegetables such as cucumbers and green beans, where limited supply and weather have led to price surges.
Wholesale prices for major brassicas remain unchanged at Bronisze. Cauliflower is trading at approximately €0.8–1.1 per piece (3.50–4.50 PLN), and broccoli at €1.2–1.4 per piece (5–6 PLN), both as of 18 June 2026. Although direct cabbage prices are not listed, the overall brassica category is described as stable, indicating sufficient supply and steady demand. There is no mention of disruptions in cabbage deliveries or significant changes in buyer activity.
Producers report that supply for cabbage is not affected by the cool night temperatures that have recently impacted cucumbers and beans, with nighttime lows reported locally down to 5°C. These conditions have not resulted in visible shortages or price hikes for cabbage. The market continues to offer domestic produce, and early summer harvests are ongoing. There is no information suggesting increased imports or changes in export volumes for Polish cabbage at this stage.
Demand for cabbage is described as typical for the season, with no signals of either excess or shortage on the market. Other root and field vegetables, such as carrots and potatoes, are also experiencing steady trade, supporting the observation of a balanced vegetable market in the brassica category.
