Polish new potatoes are widely available on the wholesale market near Warsaw, with prices for domestic and imported product remaining close, while last year's potatoes are losing significance.

At the Bronisze wholesale market near Warsaw in mid-June 2026, Polish new potatoes are the main product on offer. The most popular domestic variety, Riviera, is trading at about €0.47/kg (2.00 PLN/kg). Other light-fleshed varieties such as Irga reach higher prices, most often between €0.59 and €0.71/kg (2.50–3.00 PLN/kg), with the upper end for high-quality lots.

Despite the increasing supply of Polish new potatoes, imported early potatoes from Egypt and Cyprus remain present at Bronisze. Importers are offering this imported product at €0.47–0.59/kg (2.00–2.50 PLN/kg). Some buyers continue to choose imported potatoes as a substitute for last year’s crop, as Polish new potatoes are still considered delicate and less suitable for all uses.

The significance of last year's Polish potatoes continues to decline as consumers focus on the new crop. Prices for last year’s domestic potatoes are currently €0.16–0.22/kg (7.00–10.00 PLN per 15 kg sack), depending on quality and variety. Dutch imports of last year's potatoes are also still available, with wholesale prices at around €0.28/kg (12.00 PLN per 15 kg sack).

Supply of Polish new potatoes has increased, but the market remains supplied also by Mediterranean imports, reflecting ongoing buyer demand for different types and qualities. Pricing is influenced by quality, volume, and the intended culinary use, with high-quality lots achieving the top prices.
