2012 — Fruits from Chile · When an entire sector decides to speak with one voice

"Fruits from Chile" is not a single company — it's a sector brand run since 2010 by ASOEX (96% of Chilean fresh fruit exports) together with ProChile. Hundreds of competing exporters agree to speak with one voice to build recognition for an entire category.

Launched in 2010 and clearly present across European markets by 2012, the goal was that a shopper in Warsaw, Berlin or London would see a specific category with recognizable origin and quality. Table grapes, apples, avocados, cherries and blueberries reach Europe counter-seasonally — year-round category continuity for retail, a steady export channel for growers, cherries at Christmas for consumers.

From a Polish Fresh Market perspective, it shows a mature export strategy the Polish sector is moving toward: Polish apples, strawberries and blueberries as export categories with a recognizable sector brand. Chile did it in 2010; Poland is doing it now.
