EU and Britain still no contact on seed potatoes
Before 2021, the EU imported around 30,000 tonnes of British seed potatoes each year, mainly from Scotland, and exported a similar amount of European seed potatoes to the UK.
This trade developed and prospered because of the high quality of seed potatoes grown in the UK, underpinned by basic standards that growers
are required to meet
their own standards
European seed potatoes.
