So far industrial apple prices are stable in Poland

The beginning of 2021 saw a fall in the purchase prices of industrial apples, but then, at the end of January and the beginning of February, trade in industrial apples revived and prices rose. The changes may not have been dramatic, but they brought the prices of both industrial apples and dry industrial apples back to the levels seen in the first week of January.

However, the second week of February brought further snow and a further wave of negative temperatures, which caused even more processors to suspend concentrate production and therefore stop buying apples. As a result, we have stagnation in demand and prices.

Buying prices for normal industry have stopped in the range of 0.40-0.50 PLN/kg, with prices dominating in the middle of this range. Dry industry prices remain at 0.50-0.60 PLN/kg. Apples for puree with prices of 0.56-0.70 PLN/kg, depending on variety, are still in high demand (compared to the general situation). The most sought-after variety is still Golden Delicious, but it is worth noting that in this case the maximum price has fallen from 0.80 to 0.75 per kilo. We are also tempted to forecast that in the following weeks of February, and even in March, this stabilization will continue.
